Chairman: Gerry Hatton
Gerry Hatton is a Sydney-based businessman with a long experience in the logistics and distribution sectors. He founded Colby Handling Systems in his garage in 1967 with capital of $600 and over the next 30 years built up the business to employ over 300 people and turnover in excess of $100m. He also founded Colby Powder Systems, which came to dominate the world market in high speed powder filling systems and exported over 90% of its products.
Gerry sold both Colby businesses to Mannesmann AG of Germany (now Siemens Dematic) in 1997. Since then, he has invested in a number of ventures in various fields ranging from software to dry boat storage facilities. He is currently Chairman of five companies and owns and operates a vineyard in the Hunter Valley.
Chief Technology Officer: Maria Shipside
Maria has over 10 year's experience in the commercial IT sector and provides Moveit with the benefits of IT management experience in the warehousing and freight management industries. Prior to joining Moveit, Maria's experience included Development Manager for Disclinc Pty Ltd, an international warehouse & stock management solution, and Business Analyst with Faulding FH & Co Ltd, detailing IT solutions for their national warehousing processes.
Maria Shipside holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Mathematics & Computing) from the University of South Australia. |
